The exhibition "Paula Becker & Otto Modersohn"

The great love story between the painters Paula Becker and Otto Modersohn is generally well known to the broader public - supposedly. For as the publication of their correspondence in autumn 2017 illustrated, the relationship between the two artists was in many respects far deeper and more complex than previously assumed.
The Von der Heydt-Museum in Wuppertal is presenting the exhibition

from September 9, 2018 to January 6, 2019.
Until October 28, 2018, the Frieder Burda Museum is staging a stunning solo exhibition of the works of the internationally acclaimed light artist James Turrell, who was born in Los Angeles in 1943.
Josef Albers. Interaction - from June 16 to October 7, 2018
For the first time in 30 years, a major retrospective featuring the work of this Bottrop-born artist is now being staged. Some 130 works - on loan primarily from American collections and the Josef Albers Museum - will be on view in the former residence of the Krupp industrialist family. This outstanding exhibition has been made possible by the Alfried Krupp von Bohlen and Halbach-Stiftung - a charitable foundation launched in 1968 - to mark the 50th anniversary of its inception. The curator is Dr. Heinz Liesbrock, Director of the Josef Albers Museum Quadrat Bottrop.
